Circle August 4th on your calendars because that’s when the city’s first arena will be open since three arenas were closed due to COVID-19.

Councillor Johanne Brousseau says only groups and businesses will be allowed to rent the ice and they have until July 17th to to let the city know they’re interested in an ice time from August 4th to September 6th.

Activity will be limited to skills drills and that means no scrimmages or dryland training.

A maximum of 30 skaters and up to five instructors/coaches will be permitted to be involved in each session. Spectators will not be permitted, with the exception of one parent per family to attend to and supervise their child/children.

All players must arrive dressed, as access to dressing rooms will be not be available.
