Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the North Bay area. That takes in North Bay, Mattawa, West Nipissing and Powassan.

The warning is expended to last until Sunday and possibly Monday in some areas.

Saturday’s high is 30 and Sunday’s high is 29 and the humidex will make it feel a few degrees warmer.

The warning indicates hot and humid air can also bring deteriorating air quality and can result in the Air Quality Health Index to approach the high risk category.

Tips include stay cool, drink water, check on older family members and never leave anyone or any pet inside a parked vehicle.
