Two big events are lined up this weekend, virtually.

First, local grads are getting ready for a virtual party tonight (Friday).

At last check 250 are registered for KiSS 100.5’s virtual grad bash.

From 7-9 pm they’re playing party music, special guest speakers are lined up including Mayor Al McDonald and MP Anthony Rota and student representatives from local schools will share their speeches.

There’s also three grand prizes worth $500 each up for grabs.

Meantime, in a typical year the community is getting ready to head up to the CFB North Bay track for the Relay For Life, but COVID-19 has changed things up this year.

Officials have reimagined the fundraiser into ‘Relay At Home’.

The virtual event will unite supporters right across the country and show that no one has to face cancer alone.

There will be interactive activities and all the hallmark components of the in-person event.

“Relay At Home’ goes tomorrow night (Saturday) from 7-9 pm.
