A local company is helping others with COVID-19 Conversations through a series of free ‘lunch and learn’ webinars.

The first session put on by Workplace Safety North is coming up on Thursday at noon and is called ‘Adapting to the New Normal’.

Community Engagement Specialist Angele Poitras says the series involves community business leaders sharing their experience with others.

“What’s keeping them up at night? What have been some of the opportunities and challenges of remote work? Do you have anything that you can share with us and other viewers? We’re looking to learn and explore and also laugh while we’re in this Zoom webinar,” she says.

The series is designed to help business and communities cope with changes caused by the pandemic.

Guest presenters include:
– Karen McKissick, CRSP, Safety Officer, Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board
– Amy Kembel, CRSP, CHSC, CHRL, Manager, Safety and Training, Synergy North

Poitras says as of last week they already had over 130 people registered through the events page on their website, www.workplacesafetynorth.ca

“It’s free of charge, we’ll hopefully have some resources for them after. I do strongly encourage, if people have a question for our guests, please put it down when you register because we are going to be looking at the and answering as many questions as we can,” she says.

The series continues until September.
