North Bay Regional Health Centre workers are on the front lines in the battle against COVID-19 and that hasn’t gone unnoticed locally.

On Wednesday, an organization called Odd Fellows handed out 600 Hero t-shirts.

Jeff Serran is with Odd Fellows.

He told BayToday they wanted to let the staff know the impact they’re making in the community.

“It’s exciting when we see the police department, the fire department and other businesses doing the drive arounds. This is our way to give back and show support,” Serran says.

His sister Terri Serran-Jamieson is a registered nurse at the hospital so he knows what the front line workers are dealing with every day.

She says she’s been quite impressed with the support.

“This means everything. We’ve been doing very well at the hospital and throughout the city. We’ve been very blessed to North Bay and seen how seriously everyone is taking the Coronavirus,” she tells BayToday.
