Two men from London, Ontario have been charged by North Bay OPP with weapons related offenses after a traffic stop on Highway 11 last Friday.

Police stopped a vehicle travelling with no lights at 9 pm.

Police seized multiple firearms and other weapons including a conducted energy weapon and butterfly knives.

The charges include possession of a prohibited device and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

A 17 year old motorist from North Bay has become the 14th person within the North Bay OPP detachment area to be charged with impaired driving this year.

Police say this is the 4th impaired by drug charge laid this year.

This charge of operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and drugs was laid Sunday night at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere spot check on Highway 11/17 in North Bay.

Near North Crime Stoppers and the OPP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible for three arson incidents in Nipissing and Machar Townships.

Police say one happened Sunday at a camp in Machar Township and the last two in Nipissing Township between March 14th and April 12th.

Police believe all fires were deliberately set.
