Clients and donors to the North Bay Food Bank have a couple of new options as they continue to serve to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Client hours have been changed to Mondays & Fridays from 9am to noon and Wednesdays from noon to 4 pm.

Executive Director Debbie Marson says clients are encouraged to call them a call to have food hampers delivered to them.

“We’re encouraging people to use our delivery service that way we’re keeping more people in their houses which is what we want during this time period, we have a great partnership with the city to be able to use their drivers,” she says.

Clients can call 705-495-3290 to have food hampers delivered to them.

Marson also says while monetary donations can be made online, there’s another option for non-perishable food donations.

“Non-perishable food items, people are still dropping them off, but with this service they just have to call the city, look at when their pick-up schedule is and they come get it for them and drop it off to us,” Marson says.

Donation pick-up can be arranged by calling Crystal at 705-474-0626 x2329 or crystal.mcleod@cityofnorthbay.ca

Donation drop off hours have also been extended to 9 am to 4 pm every weekday.
