The future of the North Bay Battalion is expected to get a boost tomorrow with the OHL priority selection.

North Bay will pick first overall and has a media conference slated for early this afternoon.

General Manager Adam Dennis told BayToday they’re looking to complement the energy and intensity of Liam Arnsby and the Christopoulos twins Paul nd Alex.

“I think if you followed our draft last year and the three guys in our lineup you see skill but hard working players too. They bring a lot of character to the table and we’re looking to build on that,” he says.

He says they’ve had lots of conversations with some of the top players because due to COVID-19 no one is in a position right now to see players up close.

“The challenge is off the ice. We’re having conversations with the players and their families and the coaches too. We’re making sure we’re doing our homework and getting the whole picture on what kind of person we’re bringing in,” Dennis tells BayToday.

North Bay also has the top pick in the import draft in late June.
