The North Bay Battalion held the lead three times last night against Sudbury, but each time the Wolves would come back and would score a 4-3 overtime win over the Troops.

Battalion Head Coach Ryan Oulahen says an overtime loss always stings but he was satisfied with the overall effort.

“I’m very happy with our start, I thought we were engaged and ready to go, I thought we were taking it to them and for 60 minutes really stuck to our identity pretty well,” he says.

Alex Christopoulos scored twice, giving him 11 goals on the season.

Oulahen says the rookie’s hard work is starting to pay off.

“He has worked on his skating big time everyday after practice,” the Troops coach says.“That’s allowing his talent with his shooting and goal scoring to really flourish here, and now it’s starting to click.”

Captain Luke Moncada adding a single, to extend his point streak to 12 games.

Next up, the Battalion are on the road to Erie on Saturday.
