It’s been a quiet seven days for the North Bay Battalion as they haven’t played since last Friday.

That all ends tonight in Kitchener as they battle the Rangers.

Coach Ryan Oulahen says they’ve had plenty of time for practices and incorporating their two most recent acquisitions into the lineup, defenseman Avery Winslow and forward Christian Stevens.

“We’ve been able to do a lot of things this week. Cover things that we previously only talked about because of the busy schedule. This week, we’re doing in practice and been able to go over the little details of our game,” Oulahen says.

The Troops are 2-19 on the road and Oulahen says they are trying to come up with ideas that helps the team in changing their performance.

“We’re trying to think outside the box as to how we can emulate our starts, We’ve had small area games and they’ve been real intense and physical. That’s an example of how we’re coming up with ideas on getting our players ready for the road,” he says.

Seven of North Bay’s nine wins have come at Memorial Gardens.

The Troops have lost five straight games but two of those losses came in overtime.

Broadcast time tonight from Kitchener is 7:20 pm on Country 600 CKAT.
