The North Bay Battalion lost 6-0 to Mississauga on home ice last night.

The Troops fired 29 shots on net but couldn’t get any past Steelheads goalie Kai Edmonds.

Battalion Head Coach Ryan Oulahen says they just weren’t prepared for this game.

“I just thought we came out unprepared and a little bit shocked that Mississauga was coming hard. That’s a team that’s right ahead of us in the playoff race and it showed that they were ready to take us and we weren’t ready to take them,” he says.

The loss comes on the heels of the Troops trading Captain Brad Chenier to the Sudbury Wolves who will host the Battalion tonight.

Catch the game on Country 600 CKAT at 6:55 pm.
