Two city men are facing charges after a domestic violence and robbery investigation.

Police say a 26 year old man is charged with assault and uttering threats after a female victim reported a couple of alleged incidents of physical abuse involving her boyfriend on December 3rd and 4th.

Overnight on December 4th to the 5th, police say another man, known to the other two people and armed with a shotgun, forced his way into a McNamara Street residence and stole some money.

He allegedly pointed the firearm at the female victim and made threats.

The 25 year old man was arrested after a traffic stop on December 5th and is facing ten charges including robbery, pointing a firearm, and drug possession.

Police seized a homemade handgun, brass knuckles and suspected magic mushrooms.

They also say the shotgun has been recovered.
