The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities is looking to continue the good working relationship it has with all Members of Parliament from northeastern Ontario.

Other than a new MP for Parry Sound-Muskoka, all other area MP’s were re-elected on Monday.

FONOM President Danny Whalen says they’re looking forward to working with Ottawa on a number of issues.

They include the expansion of broad band and cellular services, increased immigration, affordable housing and economic development opportunities for northeastern Ontario municipalities.
