Tickets are now on sale for the Capital Centre’s line-up of entertainment for the 2019-20 season.

There’s everything from hot tickets, Canadian content, comedy and family shows.

Marketing Director Caroline Parnell-Barry says there’s plenty of variety this season.

“We just thought this year we would highlight what those different categories are a little bit more because sometimes people are only interested in one thing, ‘I only love dance, I only love comedy’ so we thought we would highlight that as we go along,” she says.

Over a third of the line-up features artists that have never before performed at the Capitol Centre.

Musical entertainment includes Sloan, Lighthouse, Kim Mitchell, Cowboy Junkies, an evening with 54-40, Meghan Patrick, the Next Generation Leahy Christmas and more.

Parnell-Barry says something new this year is the sing-along movie series with Rocky Horror Picture Show, the Sound of Music and Grease.

These are cult favourites, these are movies people love and also it taps into the history of the Capitol, because the Capitol started out as a movie house, in 1929 we were a movie house for many, many years,” she says.

Other entertainment includes Masters of Illusion, Hyprov which is improv under hypnosis with Colin Mochrie, Sesame Street Live, the New Shanghai Circus, Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers and more.
