Provincial Police in Northeastern Ontario say they’re following up on all calls when it comes to possible sightings of two murders suspects from BC.

But, OPP Acting Sgt Shona Camirand says there have been no confirmed sightings of the two.

She says they’ve received ‘many calls’

“We’re following up on every call that we do get, last night there was another call in Cochrane and it turned out to be tree planters,” she says. “We appreciate the concern of the public, we rely on the public for their tips.”

Acting Sgt Camirand is encouraging people to contact police directly about suspicious activity.

“Don’t use social media to put reports out because it causes fear and panic, the OPP will follow up immediately on any calls that we get,” she adds.

Yesterday morning there was a reported sighting in a construction zone on Hwy 11 in Kapuskasing, but again no confirmation.
