City police confirm an arrest has been made after an early morning convenience store robbery on Cassells Street.

BayToday reports a man was taken into custody downtown this morning, with witnesses saying it happened around 10 am at Main and Fraser.

Earlier, police said a man wearing black underwear on his head entered the store around 4 am, told the clerk he had a weapon and demanded money.

He then left the scene with a small amount of cash.
