Brian Chute has been named the Kiwanis Citizen of the Year. Chute is a Pharmacist and the owner of Algonquin Pharmasave.

He says “it’s a very good honour, and if you can lead the community and be recognized by what you do, I hope it will encourage other people to step up.”

Chute was selected out of 13 nominations.

Kiwanis President elect Caleb O’Connor says Chute earned the honour because of the number of charities he helps with in the community, and is dedicated to making North Bay a better place to live.

He says “Brian is a true blood community guy and he puts the community first. He jumped off the page.”
