It may be spring, but city police got an assist from ‘Old Man Winter’ early this morning.

Officers tracked a man in the freshly fallen snow after they were called around 3 am about a person going through a vehicle in the Widdifield area of the city.

Several items were recovered and a 33 year old man is facing a theft count.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information that may assist police with this investigation is asked to call the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555 and select option 9 to speak to a police officer. Constable Hughes is the Investigating Officer.

North Bay Police remind the public that it is spring and with the melting of the snow it also makes it easier for people to access your vehicle. This occurrence identifies the need for residents to lock their vehicles and to not store valuable items in your vehicle. Closing the door on your car? “Lock it or Lose it” needs to be part of your thought process during that routine.
