Organizers of last night’s Community Engagement Forum at Odysee says the event was very successful.

Pat Cliché is chair of the Community Drug Strategy for North Bay and area.

She says 83 people attended and lots of ideas were presented on the opioid use issue in the community.

“We will take them back to the committee and look at them. There were many comments about going into the high schools and talking to students about opioid use,” she says.

She says there are plans in the works for a 2nd forum in May.

“The Nipissing District Social Services Administration Board gave us an extension on our funding to hold another forum with physicians, dentists and veterinarians,” Cliche says.
