‘Our Town’ is on stage Wednesday through Saturday at the Widdifield Secondary School Theatre.

Alex Macaulay plays George and says the Gateway Theatre Guild production follows two families through twelve years of life changes.

“The first act is every day life, it goes on to the second act where it’s all about relationships and finally the third, pointing out that you shouldn’t miss the little things,” he says.

Madi Irvine plays Emily and says daily life, love and marriage and death and eternity are all covered.

“It talks a lot about relationships and how people view their life as their living and then how they view it once they’ve passed on. We get two different perspectives on life itself, which is really interesting,” she says.

Show times each night are 7 pm.

A silent auction is also being held each night (6:30 pm and during the first intermission) to help raise funds for the production, which is competing at the regional QUONTA Festival in Sault Ste Marie in March.
