An impending dumping of snow has prompted Environment Canada to end it’s special weather statement and issue a snowfall warning for the North Bay area.

The agency says snow, heavy at times, will develop later this afternoon or early evening and continue into Tuesday morning.

Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 cm are likely.

It’s all thanks to an Alberta Clipper that will cross the area.

An extreme cold warning is no longer in effect.

Cloud cover this afternoon will help to moderate temperatures, but wind chills may reach minus 40 again tonight.
