A 4-3 overtime win has snapped a three game losing streak for the North Bay Battalion.

Brandon Coe (pictured) scored the game winner at Memorial Gardens Sunday afternoon against the visiting London Knights.

Battalion Assistant Coach Adam Dennis says it was a full team effort to take down the top team in the Western Conference.

“I thought our guys really gave us a good effort. I thought our goaltending was good and we played a really skilled team and we didn’t give them too many opportunities off our turnovers, which I thought was important,” he says.

Dennis says the Battalion showed a lot of resiliency after giving up a second period lead.

“We wanted to hold onto it, but unfortunately junior hockey is not going to allow that sometimes but it’s important you just stay with it, you keep pushing back and we showed our resolve,” he says.

Christian Propp made 37 saves in the Troops’ net, while Brad Chenier, Patrick Brown and Matthew Struthers scored in regulation time.

Next up, the Battalion are home to the Sudbury Wolves on Thursday.
