Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the North Bay area, with upwards of 15 cm possible.

The agency say we can expect the snow to begin early this afternoon, then change briefly to mixed precipitation before tapering off to patchy freezing drizzle or drizzle later tonight.

It’s due to a large low pressure system tracking across the great lakes into southern Quebec.

Meantime, the impending weather has led to ALL school buses being CANCELLED across the Nipissing, East and West Parry Sound Districts.

That’s the word from School Transportation officials.

Schools remain open.
