The North Bay area is pausing to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrafice for our freedom.

A Remembrance Day ceremony in North Bay is being held at Memorial Gardens, with officials asking everyone to be seated by 10:45 am.

Veterans, military personnel and cadets will be marching to the ceremony from Fort Chippewa Barracks.

A number of communities are holding ceremonies today:
Callander – Royal Canadian Legion Branch 445 – 9:30 a.m. at Legion then parade to wreath laying ceremony at Cenotaph 10:45 a.m.
Mattawa – Royal Canadian Legion Branch 254 – leaving Legion at 10:30 am with ceremony at Cenotaph at 11 a.m.
Nipissing First Nation – Assembling at 10:30am at Community Centre, Garden Village, service at Cenotaph at 11:00 a.m.
North Bay – Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23 – 11:00 a.m. Memorial Gardens.
Trout Creek – 10:45 a.m. at Fire Hall then march to Cenotaph.
West Ferris – Royal Canadian Legion Branch 599 – 10:30 a.m.

Our radio station will air a tribute starting just before 11 am.
