Dubbed ‘Project Bendigo’, a three month investigation in West Nipissing has resulted in $162,000 worth of suspected fentanyl pills and methamphetamine tablets being seized.

Police say the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau investigation led to two search warrants with the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Canine Unit, the OPP Community Street Crime Unit and the West Nipissing Police Service.

Two Field residents and a man from Quebec are charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.

A third Field resident was charged with careless storage of a firearm and ammunition.

Also seized were six long guns and a credit card making device with several hundred blank credit cards and blank smart cards.
