It's officially "Think Pink Week" in North Bay

It’s officially “Think Pink Week” in the City of North Bay.

A proclamation was read this morning (Tues) with a cake cutting too.

The CIBC Run For The Cure goes Sunday, September 30th and co-run director Melanie Gainforth says the theme this year is ‘I Promise’.

“We’re asking participants and supporters to make a promise to participate, to register, to donate and reach within themselves to find their reason for running,” she says.

Gainforth says the 13th annual event last year was a success.

“2017 was a fantastic year, it brought us about 450 participants and we raised well over $50,000 so we’re hoping to do that again,” she says.

Money raised at the CIBC Run For The Cure goes towards breast cancer research, education and support programs.
