The West Ferris 63s U19 team just missed out on a playoff spot at the Eastern Canadian Ringette Championship.

After a 1-0 win over previously undefeated Nova Scotia, the 63s lost 8-2 to a Timmins team Saturday afternoon.

West Ferris finished with a 2-2-1 record with five points, one point back of the third and final playoff spot.

The tournament was held in Dartmouth and Halifax, Nova Scotia.

This was the first time a local team had advanced to the Eastern Canadian Championship.
