North Bay Pride will be bigger and better this year.

That’s the word from committee members who say they’re building off the great turnout and support they had for last year’s event.

“We are so excited. Last year’s turn out excited our committee to make 2018 bigger and better,” says Committee Co-chair Lucie St John. “We have some great events for everyone. I am so proud what we are doing in this community. We had so many LGBTQI2+ members, allies and families last year, it was truly amazing.”

“I attended last year’s march and picnic as a participant. I was expecting a much smaller crowd, and to know the majority of people. I was in awe of what this committee did in such a very short period of time,” says Colleen McGuin, committee co-chair. “I don’t think anyone was prepared for such a great turnout. Or understood that there was so much support in North Bay for the LGBTQI2+ community. Now that we know there are all these supportive businesses and people in the area, we know that we can make Pride 2018 celebration even bigger and better! Thank you to all the sponsors and everyone in support of our efforts in the past, present and future.”
