North Bay Police are pleased with the first day of their back to school traffic enforcement campaign.

There were zero school bus related infractions on Tuesday and all drivers observed by police on bus routes were respecting the rules of the road, specifically not speeding and respecting buses when they had stopped and their overhead red lights were flashing.

Meantime, one driver was flagged for doing 70 km/h in a 50 zone.

That was on Lakeshore Drive near Sunset Park School.

The campaign continues until next Friday.
