Two public consultations involving the environmental assessment obligations surrounding the Algonquin Land Claim have been scheduled for Nipissing.

MPP Vic Fedeli is encouraging residents to have their say.

“Please take time to be part of this important process and make your voice heard,” said Fedeli.

Two sessions will be held later this month, on Wednesday September 20th at the Mike Rodden Arena in Mattawa and the next day at Legion Branch 445 in Callander.

Both take place from 4 to 8 pm each evening.

The consultation process is underway with the Draft Environmental Evaluation Report that examines the potential environmental effects of transferring proposed Settlement Lands being posted.

The lands proposed for transfer are identified in the Agreement-in-Principle which can be found online, at Ontario.ca/algonquinlandclaim.
