a 43 year old New Brunswick man is facing assault and theft charges after an incident Monday morning at a gas station on Highway 17 in Corbeil.

OPP say they were contacted about a argument between two men that became heated.

The accused has a August court date.

As well, North Bay OPP remind motorists about locking their vehicles.

Police say there have been recent thefts in Bonfield and along Highway 531.

OPP say don’t leave valuable items in plain view, park in a well lit area, close all windows, keep your drivers license and vehicle registration in your wallet or purse and report any suspicious activity.
