Support for the Near North Palliative Care Network

This past weekend the Sault Ste Marie Diocesan Catholic Women’s League of Canada held their annual convention in North Bay.

During the weekend, a cheque over a $1,000 was presented to the Near North Palliative Care Network.

President Karen McDonald says at each annual convention they identify a local organization that embodies the objects of the league and the Near North Palliative Care network was chosen.

She says it is a volunteer based organization that supports hospice and palliative care services including bereavement and caregiver support.
