Team 1305 is back from a successful FIRST World Robotics Championship in St Louis, Missouri.

The Near North Student Robotics Initiative, a group of 25 North Bay students, ages 14-18, won an Entrepreneurship Award.

The team and their robot “Clark” finished fourth overall in the division qualifiers and won their quarterfinal, but lost in the semifinals.

Team 1305 was also recognized for their outstanding safety awareness program making the shortlist of three teams nominated for the Safety Award.

Team Captain Jessica Kelso also made the shortlist for the Dean’s Award.

This was the team’s 14th straight appearance at the World Championship event.
