The North Bay Battalion scored a 4-2 win over the Greyhounds in Sault Ste Marie Saturday night.

The Battalion scored all four goals in the third period with Brett McKenzie finding the back of the net twice.

Brett Hargrave got North Bay’s first goal while Zach Shankar’s goal proved to be the winner.

Both teams couldn’t convert on the power play, the Troops went 0-4 while the Greyhounds were 0-7 with the man advantage.

However, McKenzie’s second goal was a short handed marker, into an empty net.

Rookie netminder Mat Woroniuk stopped 33 of 35 shots to earn the win in his first OHL game.

It’s the Troops second win of the season.

They’re 0-3 on home ice so far and 2-0 away from Memorial Gardens.

The Battalion look for their first win at home Monday afternoon against Niagara.
