The YMCA is now accepting nominations for the YMCA Peace Medal.

Individuals or groups who, without any special resources, demonstrate a commitment to the values of peace through contributions made within their local, national or global community are being honoured.

“The recipient of the YMCA Peace Medal is a tremendous inspiration and they show how any one of
us can improve the quality of life in our local, national or global community. They exemplify the
values of YMCA Peace Week and the positive impact one person can make,” says Kim Kanmacher, CEO
at the YMCAs of North Bay and Sudbury.

Nominations can be made at the YMCA on Chippewa Street West or online at www.ymcanorthbay.com.

The deadline is Friday, October 28th.

This year’s ceremony will be held on the Monday of Peace Week, which runs November 19th to the 26th.
