Police2 (North Bay)Two people have been charged by North Bay Police after a Street Crime Unit investigation.

33 year old James Joseph Hendry has been charged with several offenses including careless storage of a firearm, careless storage of ammunition, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm amd ammunition contrary to prohibition orders, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

As well a female teen who can’t be named due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act  is facing several charges including  unauthorized possession of a firearm,  careless storage of a firearm or ammunition and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. 

Police seized 5.6 grams of Crack Cocaine with a street value of 700 dollars, a loaded semi automatic 22 calibre rifle, an unloaded 303 calibre rifle and close to 190 rounds of 22 calibre ammunition.

Thearrests were made on the 400 block of Main Street West Thursday night.

Meantime, a 48 year old North Bay man is facing charges following an assault on Thursday afternoon.

Police say an argument between two males turned violent when one of the men was assaulted with a wooden dowel, then was physically struck and two TV’s were damaged as well.

Victor Manuel Catarino has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault and mischief under 5 Thousand Dollars.
