North Bay PoliceNorth Bay Police say they charged 23 people in connection with domestic violence incidents in October.

Police say they received 119 domestic related calls in the month.

18 of the 23 charged were male. 

The list of charges included assault, assault with a weapon, sexual assault, utterring threats, forcible confinement, criminal harassment, mischief and breach.

5 of the charged were female. 

And those charges included assault, assault with a weapon, utterring threats and breach.

Meantime, a 56 year old Blenheim male is facing several charges following an incident Monday night. 

Police say a city police officer who was off duty at the time witnessed in a pick up truck go at a high rate of speed from the overpass to McIntyre over to Algonquin. 

He contacted police and they dispatched on duty officers.

Tthe motorist continued to do the same high speed driving towards Airport Road and then up to Duxford Road.

The vehicle was stopped by Military Police. 

The charges laid include dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, impaired drivng and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood.
