Employment and Unemployment were Both Lower in October

Unemployment was down in the North Bay area last month, compared to October 2014.

Stats Canada says the jobless figures was 6.3 percent last month.  That’s down from 10.7 percent in the same month last year.

The standard error was 1.6.   The figures include North Bay, Callander, East Ferris and Bonfield.

Meantime, employment was also down year over year.

The figure was 51.5 percent last month — down about 8 percent.
