shank call Residents have a chance to have their voices heard regarding the recent cuts at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

Shawn Shank is the President of CUPE Local 139 and he says they will phone everyone in North Bay who has a land line on October 22nd.

He says they will host the largest teleconference call in Ontario’s history with about 25,000 people dialed in.

He says they will provide information, collect stats through polling questions and have a Q and A session. He was asked what they plan to do with the data.

President of the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions Michael Hurley says they need to find new ways to fund hospitals across the province.

As well, they will be sending out postcards that read Stop the cuts at North Bay Regional Health Centre. Hurley says they will send them to residents and the province.
