water tapLocal residents have the chance to offer feedback on the 10 recommendations that the city’s special water rates committee has come up with.

A public meeting goes at 5:30 pm tonight (Monday) in the Council Chambers.

Committee Chair George Maroosis says there aren’t any classifications any longer with everyone paying a fixed rate based on the size of their meter.

He says about “99 percent of water meters” are the smallest size with a lot of smaller commercial properties at the smaller size too.

Maroosis says the public input gathered tonight will be considered at another meeting on Wednesday before they bring the recommendations to council.
