Mike Lalande is a Recreation Therapist and says they held one of these events in January, and it was really enjoyed so they decided to have another one.

Lalande says the dogs did agility trials which included running through tunnels, weaving through poles and various jumps. Lalande says the event was to show their appreciation for the work the dogs and the handlers do for the patients.

Therapy Dogs and their handlers provide many health benefits to patients at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. They have shown to produce reductions in loneliness and lower levels of stress for the patients.
