north bay museumAn exhibit from the Royal Ontario Museum is now on display at Discovery North Bay.

“Fakes and Forgeries: Yesterday and Today” is an interactive exhibition which includes 115 real and fake objects, from historical specimens and cultural artifacts, to household items and designer name brands.   The exhibit is here until November 30th.

The Museum is open from 10:00 am- 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday and 8:30 am- 5:00 pm on Saturdays.

Discovery North Bay Museum Director/Curator Naomi Rupke says, “The subject of forgeries is part of our everyday lives.  This exhibit looks at both exotic ancient forgeries and modern counterfeits.

It offers North Bay visitors the unique opportunity to learn about the many diverse topics presented which include Egyptian Antiquities, Women from Ancient Greece, Chinese Mysteries, and Fossils.”
