The Walk for Muscular Dystrophy Goes Tomorrow At North Bay's Waterfront

There is a local connection to the walk as the White family is hoping they can raise funds to help their son.

Jacob is two years old, and was diagnosed with Duchene Muscular Dystrophy at just 6 months of age. His mother Melissa says raising money for this disease could go a long way.

She says the money raised will not only go into treatments, but also research as there is currently no cure for Duchene Muscular Dystrophy.

White says there is a definite need for awareness for this disease. She says they are hoping the community will come out and take part in this walk.
