Summer in the Park Committee loses out on more funding

For the second time this year, the Summer in the Park Committee has been denied a funding grant by the provincial government.

Chair of Community Services Mark King says it was revealed yesterday (Tuesday) the city would be cut out of TEMPP funding – but he is unable to disclose the amount they were looking for.

King says this won’t necessarily affect the festival.

King says three separate festivals in Sudbury, and one in Powassan all received portions of this funding. He says they haven’t received word on why Summer in the Park lost out.
