It will be a significant change says Police Chief Paul Cook.  He says all the front line officers in the patrol section will soon carry them. Cook says he sees this as a positive step for policing because in the latest use of force report – they find there is more compliance when a conducted energy weapon is displayed. He adds there is less chance of injury to either the suspect or the officer in cases where this type of weapon is used. Cook says he believes this will save lives.
