City advises their temporary hose hook-ups are not potable

The city with a reminder that the temporary hoses their supplying home owners who have been impacted by frozen water pipes are non-potable.

They also say hoses that are potable are available at various locations in the city.

If you’re using your own hose check the markings for potable water.

The city says non-potable means the water shouldn’t be used for human consumption.

Meantime, potable water is available at three city locations: Fire station 1 on Princess West, fire station 2 on Mckeown and Fire station 3 on Marshall.

Residents are asked to supply their own containers.
