Raising the Roof Toque Campaign

Each year, the national Toque Campaign sees hundreds of volunteers and supporters sell toques across the country, with proceeds benefiting Partner Agencies working directly with people experiencing homelessness.

Since 1997, the annual Toque Campaign has supported over 180 community agencies across Canada, raising more than $7 million to date in support of long-term solutions to homelessness.

Where the Money Goes

50% of the gross proceeds from each Toque Campaign item benefits the Nipissing Transition House and goes towards a fundraiser called “Fill the Fridge”. This fundraiser helps women and children who leave the transition house by giving them a fridge filled with food. Proceeds from toques bought in a community stay in that community (this includes online sales).

Remaining proceeds (after campaign costs) support Raising the Roof’s national homelessness prevention initiatives, such as The Upstream Project.
