A busy night for North Bay Police as they investigate two overnight convenience store robberies and dealt with o separate domestic-related incident.

Police were called just before 9:30 pm last night (Thursday) to the domestic dispute, which involved a firearm in the Hwy 63 and Daly’s Road area.

A man fled the area with both the city police and OPP Emergency Response Teams, and OPP Canine Unit involved in the search.

He was later located and arrested in the Ski Club Road area.

A 34 year old man faces several domestic-related and weapons charges, along with assault with intent to resist arrest.

There were no injuries.

 

Meantime, North Bay Police are investigating a couple of convenience store robberies overnight and they believe two different men are involved.

Police say around 11:30 pm a tall, white man with a thin build entered a Macs at Marshall Park Drive and Lakeshore and demanded cash from the clerk.

Police say it appeared he was clutching a handgun under his waistband.

He then fled the scene.

Then just after 2 am a convenience store was robbed at Lakeshore and Gertrude.

A man, about 6 feet tall, with a thin build demanded cash and left.

He was wearing different clothes than earlier suspect.

The first man was wearing:
• grey plaid golf style pants
• a blue long-sleeved fleece shirt
• a bandana over his face and sunglasses
• a navy blue ball cap with a red ‘B’ on the front

The second man was wearing:
• A black long sleeve shirt
• Red balaclava
• Sun glasses
• White gloves
• Gray pants

The investigation continues.
