The North Bay Battalion have won five straight games.

On Sunday the Troops came back from a 3-1 deficit to tie the game, then won it 4-3 in a shootout.

Head Coach Stan Butler says the new second line of Rhys Forhan, Adam McMaster and Jake Henderson is one of the reasons for the run.

“It just worked out that we got Jake in, and Jake’s a big strong kid which was a perfect fit for him, Rhys is a kid we drafted in the second round and has bad luck with injuries.  We just thought he was in a situation we had to put him in to see what he could do,” Butler says.

McMaster, Riley Bruce and Henderson had goals in regulation for North Bay.

Butler says he credits the his overage players with rallying the team together.

“I think Riley Bruce and Jesse Saban have done a really good job, since Jake Henderson got there, even though he doesn’t wear a letter, I think he’s helped that way.  The guys have always got along pretty good this year,” he says.

Christian Propp turned aside 16 shots for the win.
