Two people, one from Timmins and the other from Black River-Matheson have been charged with drug related offenses including 3 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds obtained by crime.

The charges were laid after North Bay OPP stopped an eastbound vehicle on highway 17 near Highway 94 that was being driven aggressively.

Meantime, a tractor/trailer driver from Mississauga has been charged with turn not in safety which is a violation of the Highway Traffic Act.

Police say the charges was laid when the driver attempted a u turn Friday night and the vehicle ended up stuck across Highway 11 near Bomarc Road.

The result was traffic couldn’t pass in either direction.

The highway was closed from 10:50 pm until a few minutes past midnight.
